Gala Reception at the Visitors Center

The 27th Annual Charleston Conference Gala Reception will be held at the Charleston Visitors Center, situated within walking distance of the Francis Marion Hotel. Located in a beautifully restored 1856 railroad warehouse at 375 Meeting Street, the Charleston Visitors Center provides a meeting place for the catered reception. Bluegrass music will be provided by the YeeHaw Junction Band (band sponsored by Galda Library Services) along with a Southern Barbecue and Oyster Roast in the covered open air shed adjacent to the visitors center. The reception will begin at 7 pm and last until 9 pm on Thursday, November 8th. 

Please sign up for the reception when you register online. There is no charge to those registered for the conference. Transportation will be provided in the case of inclement weather and for those not wishing to walk. We hope to see you all there for a delightful evening.

SpiritLine Dinner Cruise
Friday, November 9th, 7:00 - 10:00 pm

The Spirit of Carolina leaves from Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant. Transportation will be provided to and from the cruise. Buses will leave from the Francis Marion Hotel to take ticket holders to the cruise.

Reserved seats for the dinner cruise are limited so please register and pay no later than October 22nd to reserve your place on the yacht. Guests must also be registered for the cruise. Registration can be made on-line, by mail or by fax.

Included in the $65 fee: Four course meal (sample menu), three-hour cruise, live entertainment and transportation.  There will also be a cash bar on board.
