2011 HOTEL INFORMATION

A considerable number of rooms have been blocked in these hotels in Charleston. Please note: hotel reservation by internet, email, and national phone numbers will not get you the Charleston Conference rates. Call the phone number listed with the hotel and identify yourself as a participant in the CHARLESTON LIBRARY CONFERENCE in order to get the Charleston Conference rates for that hotel. The only exceptions are the group reservations website for the Embassy Suites and the the Hampton Inn Historic District, links provided below. The week of the conference is a busy time in Charleston due to other events in town, please make sure to make reservations in advance.

CONFERENCE TRANSPORTATION

Conference Shuttle

A Limo Bus will operate four limo vans between the Francis Marion Hotel and these additional hotels during the Conference:

Hours of operation:
Wednesday – 6:30 am to 1:30 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm
Thursday     – 6:30 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 10 pm
Friday           – 6:30 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 10 pm
Saturday      – 6:30 am to 10 am and Noon to 3 pm

Vans will be identified by signs indicating “The Charleston Conference”.  Please pick up the van service outside of the hotel at their drop-off, unload, or taxi area.  Check with your hotel.  Although we cannot guarantee a specific schedule because of city traffic, peak periods of transport, and unexpected events, our goal is to provide service to each hotel as quickly as possible.
